Bright Blessings

I have a another addiction besides birds, it's taking pics of sun filtered through trees, I'm not a religious person, but there is always something spiritual about it for me. I took this as I was walking back to my house from around the pond and caught the evening sun just above one of the many Spruce, Firs & Pines we've planted from seedlings over the years. It's still not very tall, but has held it's own amongst the surrounding Oaks & Hickory trees,, and helps provide some shelter to the many small birds. When I saw the way the sun came out in the photo I was pretty pleased that it placed a beautiful star above it!! I used no filters on it, just szd & cropped to put it in the center of the pic. Hope everyone has a wonderful New Year filled with Bright Blessings! o:)

Snow...and sunshine ! Lucky you,Lindy ;) and you have a great yard too |=)|

Let the sunshine in,Lindy! Always pays off to keep the eyes open to different things in nature. Looks great. :t:

Good one Ove, I should've used that for my title, now I'm singing Age of Aquarius! Let the sunshine, let the sunshine in, the sunshine in
Let the sunshine, let the sunshine in, the sunshine in
Oh, let it shine, c'mon
Now everybody just sing along
Let the sun shine in
Open up your heart and let it shine on in
When you are lonely, let it shine on
Got to open up your heart and let it shine on in
And when you feel like you've been mistreated
And your friends turn away
Just open your heart, and shine it on in :)

Thanks for all your lovely comments! o:)
And yes, the holidays always make me quite wacky. ;)

Lindy, earlier today, I too was watching the sun breaking through the bare, silhouetted branches of Silver Birch; very enchanting! Lovely atmosphere captured through your image! :t:

Wonderful sunset through beautiful trees that you have planted and nurtured. It has to be rewarding and spiritual. Congratulations! Happy Holidays and a Happy New Year!
