It was Stanley. A little over 10,000' where this tree was. Some are at over 11k.
This area is very dry, a high altitude desert. The oldest Bristlecone pines, some over 4000 years, grow in the harshest environments. At lower elevations and where they receive more precipitation, the are much shorter lived.

In the lower center of the photo one can see needles.
