That must be a real nice place you have found to photograph so many beautiful birds. I to like to sit on the water holes i think its the thrill of not knowing which bird is coming in to drink next that makes it special. Thanks for your kind comments i will be off air for a couple of weeks.

Nice one Hans...Re Spoonbills in the UK:- Theres been a breeding colony along the North Norfolk Coast for a few years now, and quite often they're seen in double figures there. They are often seen along the South Coast around Arne/Poole Harbour, so I'm not sure if they breed in that area too. I did photograph one flying over Rye Harbour a few weeks ago, and about 10 years ago I photographed one on Pett Pools which is near to here in Hastings.

What a remarkable bird and a brilliant picture with the reflection of its head showing. Stunning work Hans & Judy not only do you guys get to photograph some marvelous creatures in your own yard but you have given the gift of water to so many that share the space with you. Kudos!!!!!
