Brown-headed Cowbird

This bird is known for laying its eggs in the nests of other bird species, often tricking the other birds into caring for its offspring as if it were their own. Quite an ugly thing to boot, but I try not to discriminate.

Nice eye highlight and pose :t:...they are like our cuckoo's laying eggs in other nests and leaving sometimes quite tiny birds to care for the hulking great baby!!:-O

As Adalia says we have the same with the Cuckoos over here, you feel awful over what they do..but once you hear the familiar Cuckoo sound you seem to forgive them.

Very nice shot of this guy. I try not to discriminate either, but must admit they are one of my least favorite birds.
