Brown Thrasher (Toxostoma rufum)

Not hard to figure out what this guy was up to. I managed to get a few shots without the leaves flying about. I came upon him as I was walking back to the car at Brookgreen Gardens Murrells Inlet SC. Off to volunteer water monitoring catch up with you all later!!

He really has a beautifully coloured back, but that yellow eye makes him look quite severe, doesn't it.

Thanks everyone for your more than generous comments! I was at BGG today and one shot across in front of me into a bush and I have no idea how they don't knock themselves out colliding with the branches! lol!
