On a day bedevilled by gusty winds eddying round the garden I had to be content with this image of a favourite moth.

What an amazing moth that is!!!

I'd be more than content with that fabulous close up.
 
Thanks - had to be content with this one as opposed to numerous others with wispy bits flapping in the breeze!
 
Nonetheless, the patterns on what I presume to be the hind wing are superb, I can see why you would want to trap one in calm conditions.
