His white tail is missing. These birds come from New Guinea to breed in northern Queensland.

outstanding portrait of this beautiful kingfisher, Peter, excellent pose and eye contact and a wonderful background with great bokeh, a real topper, many tfs!!
 
I wonder what happened to the tail. A great capture of him with his snack, Peter.
