Foothills of Rincon de Vieja premontane rain forest/cloud forest at ca. 780 m (2,559 ft) elevation.
Location
Tapir Valley Reserve, Bijagua de Upala, Alajuela Province, Costa Rica.

Despite the difficult light a wonderful capture. I often had similar conditions in tropical forests in Asia. Plenty of light/sunshine but in the shadows ...

We had these running around the grounds in one of the lodges - very difficult to photograph as they wouldn't keep still! I had to resort to high ISO too!

Another lovely bird and one that really hasn't shown its face here very often.
