Bufflehead (Bucephala albeola) is originally from North America, so it arrived in my lake in a completely accidental way. all the accidental observations and they are many, are however limited to the periods of migration

Some quality behavioural footage of this rare American duck! Quite minore indeed, even compared to the coot, plus I didn't expect these two species to share the habit of running on the water before takeoff.
