Bufflehead, Male
Bufflehead (Bucephala albeola) male. Nothing quite like being flipped off by a cute little duck (lol).
Habitat
Edwards Plateau vegetation area, sewage ponds adjacent to the Colorado River next to the river is a riparian hackberry/elm woods and elsewhere the ponds are surrounded by open fields and sewage treatment plant at 134 m (440 ft) elevation.

You have to laugh when ducks get cute with you! Memories of when this was one of my regular birding spots during a couple of years living/working based around Austin in the late 1980's. tfs.
 
I dont know how this guy got that strange name, but he is showing off, Stanley.
