Bumble foot (Fringilla coelebs)

I've Been looking around the web & found some articles on two diseases called bumble-foot, and fir-foot, a parasitic growth caused by a mite and a fungal growth that looks just like this,(not sure wich one it is though) and apparently they are both common in chaffinches.

A lovely detailed capture. I still feel a little sorry for them with feet like tis.
