Bushtit trying for moody Rembrandt lighting (Psaltriparus minimus)

A small flock of these pass through my backyard almost every day. I just got a new (used) Nikon d5, so they seemed like the perfect hard target! Needless to say, they are tiny, fast moving, jittery, and usually buried deep in the bushes.

This little girl (I'm guessing it's a she) caught the late afternoon sun just right for a beautiful side lit exposure. Almost a perfect Rembrandt style, except she didn't get her right cheek.

There appears to be some ghosting in the foreground on the left and right sides. Those are wildely out of focus twigs.

This was done with single-point AFC and single-point meter. Manual 1/1600 at f/5.6, auto ISO 360. Nikon d5 with 500mm f/5.6e. Cropped down to 1889x1889 (3.5MP) for a 2.5x crop factor and effective focal length of 1250mm.
