Bushtit
This very little greedy Bushtit female was actively hunting when I saw her. She stopped for a few seconds so I could capture the moment, then she continued. There were at elast three small green worms and one wasp in her tiny beak.

UPDATE: This is what Mickey Long, a super expert birder in Los Angeles County had to say:

" Observation:
Raul's great photos deserve a second look. That bushtit is probably not greedy but selflessly feeding young in a nearby hanging nest, since she (yellow eye says female) is carrying multiple caterpillars, rather than swallowing food, one item at a time. She also exhibits a brood patch on her belly, open skin devoid of feathers. This also gives us a date for eggs hatched and young being fed. Four pieces of information from one photo! "

Super shot, they flit around so fast it's hard to see them for more than a second - let alone get such a nice shot. :t:
