By the Scruff (Nyctea scandiaca)

This was a new and evidently immature snowy to the neighborhood. It seemed to be more dominant than the established pair--they kept their distance when this one flew in. It has its vole by the scuff of the neck--I saw it pounce on the snow, come up with the vole and then fly to this pole.
