Cains Birdwings (Ornithoptera priamus)

My wife did a stint of remote area nursing in the tip of Cope York. When joined her (in the middle of the wet season) I found it hard to get good shooting days with the rain and 1000% humidity. The Birdwing butterflys sure brighten up the day. This male pursued the female (bottom) until I eventually lost sight of them, never more than 1/2 metre above her. If you didn't know you would swear they were different species!
