Cammo Cardinal
"Cammo" may not be the most accurate description. Not an expert by any means but I might call him a melanistic cardinal for lack of a better term. I felt a bit sorry for him because the other cardinals seemed to be afraid of him. I can only attribute that to his freakish color patterns.

"Stump" was an old piece of driftwood root placed under the apple tree adjacent to several feeders. Have used it for several other poses as well.

Great find and a marvelous capture and picture. A first for me, I saw a leucistic one a few decades ago but never one showing melanistic plumage. TFS Lil-Jens!
