Canada Goose and 6 chicks, 1st day/minutes on water (Branta canadensis)

For the second year, this Hen nested on my 8' x 12' bird blind roof, and reared chicks. I happened to see them walking down the drive toward the River some 300 yards away and got out with digiscope in time to make a video from 60 yards away. You'll see that she honks a cadence to keep them in line, and perhaps warn opponents to keep distance??

Aaaaw!!! Still in their yellow fluff too. What a wonderful sight for you Steve... how lucky you are that she nests where you can see her.

A super picture this of their maiden voyage - many thanks for letting us share it lad.
