Carolina Chickadee
I’ve been trying for weeks to get a shot of this adorable bird. But, I finally got a few yesterday!
Full disclosure: I’m not 100% certain that it’s a Carolina Chickadee and not a Black Capped Chickadee. But based on how thin the white lines on its wings are, and the fact that (according to the Audubon app) there have been no sightings of a Black Capped Chickadee in my area, but plenty of Carolina Chickadee sightings, I think I’m correct.

Marvelous capture of this Chickadee. Ours are something we call hit and run birds. They are only on the feeders for a few seconds (lol). Well done Donovan!

Yes! They swoop in for a single seed and just as quickly they’re gone! But, they (at least in my garden) tend you repeat this operation 4 or 5 times, so I’m learning that if I’m patient I may have another shot.
Thanks Stanley!
