Tomorrow my wife and I fly to Argentina for a few weeks. I will not be on line during that time. I wish everyone great birding and photographing. Lol, the forecast for the first day we arrive is rain. Cheers! Stanley

Edwards Plateau vegetational area. Juniper/oak woodlands at ca. 369 m (1,210 ft) elevation.

Wow, what a creature! If I have bad dreams tonight Stanley, you'll be responsible. Seriously, it's fascinating and quite beautiful when you've figured out which end is which and made visual sense of it! Great shot.

wonderful photo of this mantis upside down, Stanley!!! interestingly, I saw a (European) mantis in our garden this morning, always a thrill to see them. top quality portrait, many tfs!!!
