Carolina Wren (Thryothorus ludovicianus)

These are such wonderful active little birds just packed with personality. You can hear them quite a ways off coming into the feeders, in fact they have one of the loudest songs per volume of bird. When perched but not quite resting they do this little dip thing that cracks me up. I only have the one bird coming into the feeders this year and not the pair I had last winter. It doesn't show up as often either. I'm always happy to see this bird as it leaves me laughing.

Hello, Deanne: Hope the new year has been a little kinder in regards to the weather the Norht-East has been plagued with. This is a first rate image. Good solid composition, with splendid detail. Many of the wrens may have gone further South as a result of the fierce winters up there. Great shot. :t: :t: :t: :t: :clap:
