Carolina Wren (Thryothorus ludovicianus)

This sweet Carolina Wren is one of the juvies from this year and is currently moulting and looks quite bedraggled, especially his breast feathers. The family, two adults and two juvies have been entertaining me for a month now and I'm loving every bit of it. You can hear them coming from a mile away. They must like to announce their presence to the world. LOL

Most of the birds here are looking pretty scruffy at the moment and they all seem to be in some stage of moult. I've still got lots of Am. Robins, these Wrens, Jays, Mockingbirds, Doves etc. but no finches of any kind and few Chickadees and Titmouse.

Thanks so much everyone! I appreciate your kindness! I so wish you could have seen this raggedy little bird sitting on that branch and singing his heart out. As cute as it gets.
