Catching my breath

Catching my breath (Sitta canadensis)

On my last day at the Sea Ranch, my brother and I joined the first half of the annual "Circumambulation". The entire route is about 20.5 miles. We did 10.35 - the hilly ones at the start. I also carried my big camera along. As I often explain, it's a piece of training equipment in two ways: extra weight to carry, and an excuse to stop to catch my breath (just pretend I've seen something worth photographing ;) ). This time, my excuse was some movement in the trees, and lo and behold - Red-breasted Nuthatches, a new trip tick :D

A beautiful image of this Nuthatch Ann and congrats on your new trip tick!

What luck you saw the movement in the trees, Ann. I feel worn out reading about that hike!
