Cauca Guan (Penelope perspicax)

Cuaca Guan is endemic to the Western and Central Andes of Colombia. It was thought to be extinct until a small population was found in the area of the Otn Quimbaya Fauna and Flora Sanctuary in the Risaralda district.

This is also a rarity here in the Gallery and only the fourth image of this Cauca Guan.

And what a beautifully detailed image this is and captured with the perfect head turn bronze sunbird!
