Cedar Waxwing

Every year we get Cedar Waxwings in Southern California, they stay for a few weeks then they are gone. I normally see them high up in my neighbors tree. I've taken a few photos of them but because they are so high in the tree the pictures usually aren't that great.

I was in New York birding at Connetquot River State Park on Long Island. I had birded for several hours and was on my way back to my car when I saw this Cedar Waxwing sitting low in a bush.

It was my first chance to get a really good look at a Cedar Waxwing, they sure are lovely birds. Plus it was my first chace to get a decent shot of one.

Nice shot, ponyrcr. I'd love to get a decent photo of one of these.
