Cedar Waxwing (Bombycilla cedrorum)

I had a great time last week when one of the folks who posts on our NH bird list reported a large flock of Cedar and Bohemian Waxwings up in Concord NH (an hour's drive from here). I packed up my gear and headed north and after crawling around the car parks for a business complex I found the Crabapple trees the Waxwings were feeding in. What a treat! There were 78 Cedars and a few Bohemians. The Bohemians were a life bird for me. I spent several hours photographing and observing these beauties.

I'm rather late in examining your recent images. This one is particularly nice, showing the red wing tips as well as such nice feather detail. Great shooting, Deanne!

Tremendo us capture with sperb details, color & composition in a complimentary setting. Thanks for sharing another one of your always beastiful presentations

Fantastic shots Deanne - I was lucky enough to have 3 of these visit my garden last month, unfortunately there was barely any light. Your pics are gorgeous!
