Another wonderful image!

By the way

Our new Bird Forum/Opus system searches the Gallery by the information contained in the tags placed with an image.

Even if the information is in the title, it needs to be tagged. The most important tags are Common Name, Scientific Name, and Location, at a minimum.

Try to not use abbreviations for states and/or other political subdivisions. While they may be familiar to you, the BF/Opus audience is worldwide and it may not be familiar to someone in another locale.

It is the presence of these tags that will allow searchers to find and enjoy your most beautiful images. I'm sure you would be disappointed should someone happen to miss seeing one, or more, of them simply because no tags were present.

Your assistance in making this happen by placing tags on your uploaded images will be appreciated very much.

Got it...I think. I'm uploading 3 more. Could you check to see that I've entered the pertinent information correctly?

Last question. I filled out the information form but the last line says "tags". Is that for the name? Common or latin?? I already wrote in both on other lines.

Hi Bruce... not sure if Barney is about just now, so I'll step in.

What you have filled in so far is perfect.

If you could add "Tags" for the common name, the scientific name and the state, that would be perfect for the purpose of searching the Gallery. Now that you have uploaded the picture, you will need to click on the Luggage label under your picture.

You will be prompted to separate each item with a comma, if you spell it wrong, just backspace and correct it (or click on the cross).

If you want to add anything else for your own info that's a bonus. For instance you might want to find all the pictures taken at a particular place, or (like me) taken in the snow LOL. Maybe the bird is in flight etc.

I hope this makes sense to you. If you've any questions though, please don't be afraid to ask.

Don't forget to click on Save when you've done. You can always add more later if you want.

Done correctly, I think. This is a lot like homework, but I do understand. I'm just a lazy birder. :-D
