Chaffinch with Seed (Fringilla coelebs)

I finally got out to Carsington yesterday, after all our dreadful wet weather. I found this Chaffinch feeding nicely.

The water level at Carsington Reservoir was the lowest I have ever seen it, despite the recent rain. At this time of year it is normally full, and at least 10ft higher than it was yesterday.

Lovely capture and picture of this Chaffinch with seed! I gather they have been a severe drought before these rains. Superb Brian!!!
