Thank you everyone for your very nice comments on my image of a pheasant. Here's a picture of a female chaffinch. In good lighting , these birds can look really beautiful.I may not be able to post very often in the next two weeks or so.

She sure is pretty and a lovely pose too Joelle.

My sister sent a similar picture to me a year or so back and wanted to know what it was. It was the green rump that threw her, as she'd not noticed it before.

Now you just make sure you look after your friend, or you'll have me to deal with if I hear any complaints!!!!!;)
