Chaffinch (Fringilla coelebs)

Thank you everyone for your very nice comments on my image of a pheasant. Here's a picture of a female chaffinch. In good lighting , these birds can look really beautiful.I may not be able to post very often in the next two weeks or so.

She sure is pretty and a lovely pose too Joelle.

My sister sent a similar picture to me a year or so back and wanted to know what it was. It was the green rump that threw her, as she'd not noticed it before.
