Thanks for your thoughts on the ISO. I don't seem to be able to find a way to change the ISO [I]within[/I] Sports Mode. However, if I look in Aperture Priority I have it set to Auto 3200, which seems to change the ISO at the will of the camera. Looking at the above, it seems to have done that for this shot, as I certainly wouldn't have done 640 myself LOL.

I can't tell where the beak stops and the seeds start. That is one full mouth and well captured girl.

I think sports mode may be designed to use high ISO's so as to get superfast shutter speeds for action shots. It does mean you do a mid-chew stop-action shot of her, but it costs you some plumage detail due to the high ISO. Still a fun shot of this cute lady |=)|
 
Lovely capture Delia . Agree with Mali just enjoy the moment you can only mess around with settings if you have time with the shot . Usually that isn't the case , 99% pure luck right place , right time.
