Chaffinch
It seems ages since I showed you one of the garden Chaffinches .

This one was taken side-ways through my other window and looking down through the glass. He's sitting on a little shrub beside a shed.

He looked a little 'washed out' so, for the very first time ever, I played about with hue/saturation in Paint. How do you think I've done?

Amazing picture postcard capture, D! Like other have said, expose down on the whole image. The contrast is already good, since the chaffy stands out nicely. Dropping the exposure will not only reveal some of the washed out details, but also help to hide some of the b/g. This is a part of post processing that I struggled with for years until it clicked for me one day. Keep at it. You are already doing the hardest part very well...catching the image. :t:
