Challenged ...
Challenged ...

In Jan. 2011 ... we
had gone
for a Bird-census, to
Pong Dam Reservoir Sanctuary
... a Himalayan
Ramser Site

We had to do
it in two days
moving through
the reservoir
in a boat ... that gave
us some anxious moments
when it started
leaking ...

We stayed in a
Forest Rest House
a fairly good one ...
Two White-browed Wagtails
visited the place
in the morning to feed on
the dead insects that had
come to the lights during
night ...
... and one of them had
one leg missing while
the other had only
a stump for
a foot ... yet
they were doing rather
well ...
We could capture
their images
activity and call
in a brief
video clip ... uploaded
today ...

Seeing as I can't swim, being in a leaky boat would probably cause me to scream like a girl ;) Great capture and interesting narrative, Alok. (IME, the rest of the animal kingdom copes very well with adversity... only Humans complain ;) )

A superb capture Alok! great detail and setting...love your narrative too, well done tfs.

Lovely Waggy close-up Alok...Its amazing how our wee feathered friends are able to cope sufficiently with such handicaps.
