My SF shot. It looks as if this pipit is pulling its tongue at me. I was watching and taking shots from inside inside my car when it was alerted by the clicking of my camera ,stared at me and then went on foraging without seeming flustered in the least.

What a remarkable image! Quite honestly I was baffled as to the ID before scrolling down. It's not the way we expect to see a Meadow Pipit, but it's highly original and you've done a marvellous job. It does look like it's poking its tongue out! Excellent.
