Brilliant close-up with it showing its athletic ability. Great focus, dof, feather detail, and setting. Exceptional JJ! TFS! The Typhiid Wasp. The yellow in the rear is not a band but a couple of separate spots. The front one after the abdomen constricts is not considered, only the complete bands on its abdomen. I have always looked at it counted 7 (lol).

Looks like he's eating poison oak berries. I hope you didn't get too close. Even touching dead twigs of poison oak can give you a nasty, itchy rash.
