Chestnut-fronted Macaw (Ara severus) Sexes similar.
Habitat
Sitting on top of Coyol Palm (Acrocomia aculeata: Arecaceae) snag, fortunately it was eye-level with me. Lowland jungle, (tropical lowland rainforest, riverine floodplain forest) at 517 m (1,696 ft) elevation.
Location
Amazonia Lodge grounds, north of Atalaya, adjacent to Ro Altos Madre de Dios, Madre de Dios Department, Per.
