Chestnut Quail-Thrush (m)
This is the photo of the male I referred to the other day. Not a brilliant picture, but in the circumstances I was quite happy!
Habitat
Mallee woodland
Location
Gluepot Reserve, South Australia
Date taken
25/10/2015
Scientific name
Cinclosoma castanotum
Equipment used
Canon EOS 70D with Canon EF 300mm f2.8L IS II USM + 2.0 extender 111
Nice one Peter. I have found Quail Thrush difficult to capture, the slightest movement seems to send them scurrying off.

What a great find for you Peter ... and a super picture too.

Very well done lad.

I'd have been chuffed! It certainly shows how the bird got its name - looks like a cross between the two.
