Chiffchaff - Phylloscopus collybita (Phylloscopus collybita)

I wait to hear the first of these each spring together with the blackcap and willow warbler.

Their repetitive chiffchaff, chiffchaff, chiffchaff .... call makes me smile because it drives my brother mad so he says though in jest really.

Love the lighting on this little gem. Spectacular focus, dof, feather detail, color, eye contact, and setting. Exceptional John!
 
Sometimes you just get lucky and this little one sat briefly in a spot in the hedge the sun shone on.
