Chinese Hwamei
Another introduced species to Japan. The Hwamei (In the Laughingthrush family) population in Japan is probably the result of released/escaped caged birds. They prefer foraging on the ground with lots of cover and seldom come out in the open. They have an amazing vocal range and are heard far more often than seen!
