Cirl Bunting - lifer - male. The weather was it's norrmal rubbish but I managed to get out and capture a lifer today, in the rain. Pics not that good but I will return.
Confined to south-west England. Best looked for in fields and hedges of south Devon, near to the coast. For details of some recommended sites, please see the where to watch cirl buntings page or how to watch cirl buntings page.
Three beauties Keith, these really are handsome birds...Glad you made it to Broadsands mate. I hope you took some "Trill", as it looks like someones been feeding em sunflower seeds, I bet that peed the locals off, they like em to stick to Trill. Glad you didn't have to walk back up that hill, that just about killed me last time I went.
My goodness, you get a lifer and get both the male and the female and pictures of both as well. What an amazing day for you PS! Three first-rate posts today!!!!
I think it is fantastic. Beautiful setting, and a very clear photo of the Bunting.
A lifer for me usually ends up a blurred mess because I shake with excitement.
