Clay-colored Sparrow (Spizella pallida)
Habitat
Gulf Coast Marshes and Prairies vegetation area, barrier island, Laguna Madre Bay on the west side of the island and the Gulf of Mexico on the east side. Edge of a mesquite woodland at ca. 1 m (3.3 ft) elevation.
Location
East Sheepshead Street, South Padre Island, Cameron County, Texas, USA.

This will always be my favorite bird as I found the first recorded sighting in my area years ago and you got a great image Stanley!
 
one of the most attractive north-American sparrows in my opinion, Stanley, and a wonderful photo showing those lovely colors and patterns, top class, many tfs!!
