Close call (Recurvirostra avosetta)

This pair are nesting right in front of the Sandgrounders hide at Marshside, Southport. The difficulty with having such legs can be seen. One of the eggs was knocked up out of the hollow, fortunately it did not roll away and the bird managed to get it back into the nest hollow.
