... but not the sharpest shot I got. Oh well. Still a decent shot, I think.

Still a very fine picture Ann. Blame the lack of sharpness on the movement of the boat!;)
 
Nice to see a close view of this bird...saw one of these birds out in the open for the first time myself in Mallorca earlier this year, with the naked eye looked great, when took pics of it, always seemed that the sun was in the wrong place....but no matter what, in memory was a bird well worth seeing...hopefully you'll think the same about your sighting :)

i am so happy you got to have fun with this naughty heron, they are really so amazing and lovely to watch.
