More snow. In Swedish these birds are called Turk Doves. Now I know why. :-)

What a cracking flight pose this is... and I'm so jealous that you can get pictures of birds when the snow is falling. I can get the bird, or I can get the snow... but ne'er the twain shall meet!! <sob sob>

That nuthatch really does have a long bill, doesn't it - thanks for the link Graham.
 
superb shot of this beauty in the snow.one i cannot get the hang of taking the snow keeps my focus out but its all part of learning.many tfs.all the best margaret.
