These birds were not easy to photograph, but this fellow landed nearby without too much foliage in the way.

Wow, what an awesome bird!!! It looks like this chap was excited about something, excellent capture and picture Rookery!!!!
 
Looks good to me Rooky, superb capture. Had great views of the Pelicans today but no camera!!!
 
Congrats on a great capture! I was hoping to come across one of these, too, but well ... maybe next time!

Good one Rookery, as you say they are not the easies birds to approach and their habit of hiding from the camera doesn't help.
