Resting Flycatcher (Spotted Flycatcher)

My original upload seems to have gone AWOL so here it is again (now that I'm back online).
Another very enjoyable morning with the Spotted Flycatchers. I am always pleased when there is something within an image which adds a sense of scale to the bird. It's often a difficult thing to achieve. In this instance, I was delighted when the Flycatcher(s) chose to perch on the arm rest of an old wooden bench. I observed the birds for some time and then sat down at a reasonable distance from this favoured area. Over the course of the next hour the birds came and went and provided delightful opportunities for photographs. I would have liked to have got the "fly in the bill" shot but never had the chance. Anyway, here is the little Flycatcher posing on the arm-rest of the bench. I reverted to spot metering in order to expose the bird correctly - its delicate grey-white breast plumage positively glowed against the dark background!
