Say's Phoebe

Say's Phoebe (Sayornis saya)

I was just zooming in on this Say's Phoebe, which was standing on a fence post at a little used parking spot along the tour route 'round the Bosque, when another car pulls in, right up to the bird's post, scaring him off of course. Then these folks pile out of the car and ask me if there are any interesting birds about. Not at the moment, I say, and they pile back in and drive off. Some people ... sigh |:(| At least I got this shot before they arrived.

Any easily overlooked bird! I love the colors on this species. Excellent colors, pose, perch, background, lighting, and detail! Three marvelous posts today Doc!!!

Was this a Lifer for you Ann?

At least you got a good picture before the disturbance, very well done lassie.

Beautifully captured Doc! Maybe we all need signs on our cars that say "keep away". Some people just don't pay attention.

A great capture of this Phoebe Doc. A beautiful, monochromatic image girl.

Had very little time to go birding of late and it seems that I've been plagued with inconsiderate people but learning to control my feelings! This is a stunner Ann, lovely colours and background.
