Hi Mo,
They're not venomous, quite harmless and very curious if you observe them with limited motion, they will start to approach you with the most inquisitive poses as demonstrated by this shot.
 
Thank you Ove, we both agree, this is also my favourite. I found this shoot to be one of the most exciting wildlife projects I have ever experienced with perhaps one other that involved a massive Grizzly, (another story). This shoot was absolutely magic for me as the snakes knew I was there and because I presented no threat, they became very curious. They were wonderful models.
