SF: Leaf Snake
Leaf Snake or maybe a Leaf Dragon depending on where your mind goes with it (lol). Shingle leaves climbing a tree to find sunlight.
Habitat
Premontane cloud forest at ca. 1029 m (3,376 ft) elevation.
Location
Altos del Maria, Panam Province, Panam.

There for a long time this mossy vertebrate snake skeleton. LOL.

Oh my goodness! For a minute there I thought this really was a snake evolved to look like leaves. There are certainly insects that mimic leaves this well, but I'd never heard of reptiles mimicking botanicals. Botanicals mimicking snakes ... well, that's another matter, and far less disturbing ;)
