I don't really know BT... it reminded me of ummm an ichthy... something spelling type wasp.... but...

A great picture though. Maybe if no-one comes in who can assist you might post it in the Insects forum.

I'm back again BT; I asked a friend and he thinks it looks like a Ichneumon xanthorius.

(so I was on the right lines LOL)
