Golden Birdwing (Troides aeacus)

the females of this Birdwing species (I think it's a Golden rather than Common) get to a 6-inch wingspan !! Taken on a path in the middle of a busy village on the banks of the Irrawaddy.

Beautiful shot! We have Southern Birdwing which is the largest one around here. Looks similar too although it has some red splashes!
