Post Oak Savannah vegetation area. Around small fishing pond in a post oak/yaupon woods at 81 m (266 ft) elevation.
Location
Lake Somerville State Park, Birch Creek Unit, southwest of Somerville, Burleson County, Texas, USA.

A wonderful bird to capture. And a brilliant close up Stanley. Wonderful detail and a well framed shot, well done.
 
Love the foliage in the setting and the bird is beautiful as well. I have never seen one. Thanks for making it available for my viewing pleasure.
